Men's golf earns fourth-place finish at Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Millersville men's golf team finished in 4th place out of the 13 teams competing in the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational this week. Bobby Lugiano continued his strong play with a 2nd place finish, leading 'Ville with a 145 over his two rounds of play. Noah Keener joined Lugiano in the top-10, shooting a 150 that was good enough to land him in a tie for 8th overall. This is the Marauders' best finish this year, topping their previous 5th place finish at the Crofton Invitational. Indiana (Pa.) finished in the lead, while West Chester and Goldey-Beacom followed in a tie for second to round out the top three.
Millersville now has two invites left this spring, the Le Moyne Invitational (Apr. 10-11) and the IUP Invitational (Apr. 18-19) to close out the schedule.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Marauders finished day one in fourth place, shooting a 309 collectively. Lugiano led 'Ville and was in third place out of all participants with a 72. Keener was the next Marauder in line, tying for 14th with a 77.
- Millersville finished day two with a 300, nine strokes better the group's day one total, leaving the team with a 609 overall score. Lugiano shot a stroke behind his day one total at 73, but still managed to finish in second overall. Keener improved his scored by four strokes in round two, shooting a 73 as well.
- The Marauders finished nine strokes behind invite champion Indiana (Pa.) and six strokes back from Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) foe, West Chester.
- Lugiano and Keener led the Marauders throughout the invite, while Christopher Knox finished in 25th with a 158 and Ty Morral shot a pair of 79s to land himself tied for 26th overall. Joseph Madden rounded out the Marauder scorers with a 163 which put him in a tie for 44th.
