Marauders tie for second at Crofton Invite

Crofton, Md. – The Millersville women's golf team finished tied for second out of the three teams competing in the Crofton Invitational this week. California (Pa.) was crowned the champion, while West Chester ended in a tie with the Marauders for second place.
Millersville now has five events left this spring, the West Chester Invitational (Apr. 4-5), Millersville Invitational (Apr. 9), Kutztown Invitational (Apr. 10), Alvernia Invitational (Apr. 19), and the PSAC Championship (Apr. 22-24) to close out the schedule.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Marauders finished day one in second place, shooting a 347 collectively. Emma Schotsch led 'Ville after day one and was tied for third out of all participants with an 83, while Taylor Hileman also cracked the top-10, finishing sixth with an 85.
- Millersville finished day two with a 366, 19 strokes behind the group's day one score, leaving the team with a 713 overall score. Schotsch led the group in day two as well, shooting an 84 to finish with a team-best 167 over the two days.
- The Marauders finished 47 strokes behind invite champion Cal U.
- Schotsch led 'Ville with a 167 and 4th place finish, while Charley Kirby finished in 7th with an 87, and Taylor Hileman came in 15th with an 85.
- 'Ville finished 137-over 576 in the invite.
