
Marauders cap busy week with second-place finish

DANVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville women's golf team, playing its third tournament of the week, placed second Thursday at the Husky Fall Invitational.
Millersville finished the day with a 362--nine shots behind Bloomsburg and 17 in front of third-place finishing Lock Haven.
Ashden Stitt led the Marauders with a 15-over 88 on the par-73 course. She finished in a three-way tie for sixth, eight shots off the pace. Erica Gerner shot an 89 and tied for ninth. Sydney Barnes tied for 11th at 18-over. Sabrina Swope and Alexis Pfeufer tied for 14th.
It was Millersville's second consecutive second-place finish and fourth top-two finish of the season.
Millersville is off until the Oct. 18 Gettysburg Invitational.
