
Marauders' doubles play well, but Dallas Baptist sweeps singles

ORLANDO, Fla. - Millersville men's tennis won two of the three doubles matches, but Dallas Baptist took all six singles matches for a 6-1 win over the Marauders Thursday in Orlando.
Dallas Baptist pushed its record to 7-5 with the win while Millersville's dropped to 3-2.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Carlos Martinez-Lucas and Frank Yanni continued their winning ways in the No. 1 doubles spot, score a 6-2 win. It was the duo's seventh consecutive victory. Dylan Tull and Lino Morin clinched the doubles point for the Marauders with a 6-3 victory. Tull and Morin have paired just three times this season and have won twice. The lone loss came against Barry, which was ranked No. 1 in Division II earlier in the day.
• Millersville could not capitalize on its early doubles point as Dallas Baptist swept the singles matches. Two matches went to a third set. Grant McKenzie outlasted Martinez-Lucas in the No. 1 spot, 4-6, 6-1, 10-4, snapping the Marauder's three-match winning streak. Jasper de Koenig, stepping into the lineup in the No. 6 spot for a scratch Zach Pernia, also won his first set but Eric Capone rallied, 2-6, 6-3, 10-8.
