BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Millersville Marauders spoiled Bloomsburg's senior day with a 25-17 win led by a career-high rushing performance from
Jaheim Morris.
Millersville's win ended a 21-game losing streak against Bloomsburg and was their first win against the Huskies since 1999. It also marks the first time that Millersville has earned four PSAC East wins since 2000. Millersville dominated on the ground, rushing for a total of 250 yards. Morris led the team with his new career-high, rushing for 177 yards on 28 attempts. That was the most rushing yards by a Marauder since 2017. He also rushed for two touchdowns, including a 32-yard touchdown run to begin the fourth quarter. Marcus Pierce Jr. also impacted the run game with 59 yards rushing on 15 attempts with one touchdown.
Jack Stagaard was effective running the ball before exiting the game with an injury after his touchdown run in the second quarter.
Going into the day the Marauders were without freshman starting quarterback Robert Footman Jr. and needed a contribution from three separate quarterbacks to get the win. Millersville controlled the game from the beginning getting out to a 12-point lead and not letting the Huskies get going as Bloomsburg was shutout in the first half. Nick Freiwald led the team with 12 total tackles and Gus Ross followed with seven.
Chase Alisauckas got his first career interception to help contribute to the strong performance from the Marauder defense.

- At the end of the first half, Bloomsburg's Chris Monaco intercepted Millersville and returned it for a touchdown, however, it was called back due to a penalty at Millersville's 46-yard line. The Huskies ran one play following the interception before the end of the half with Millersville leading, 12-0.

FROM COACH J.C. MORGAN
- On Morris' performance: "He put a great performance together, but the expectation is that week in and week out he can impact the game in a big way. He had a great day, but he is a very talented running back. I said in the beginning of the season when we talked about the top running back in the conference, you have to put his name in there and the last few weeks he has gone out and proven that."
- On overcoming injuries at quarterback: "To be in a good position throughout the season you have to have good depth and you have to be able to pick each other up. I have confidence in that group, that's a veteran group of guys who've been together for the last three years. It's good to be able to have confidence to go to any quarterback on our roster and know that we can still operate and get the job done. It speaks volumes of what the offensive line has been able to do and to be able to control the line of scrimmage and allow us to move the ball. Everybody just buying into the mindset that we're going to move the ball, particularly on the ground. Everybody is going to be involved in that and we saw a little of that today."
- On defensive performance: "They were lights out in the first half, they kept attacking. They gave up a couple scores there, but when it was time to make stops at the end of the game, they were able to make those stops. Just a complete team victory and the defense had a big part of that, especially early on."
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Stagaard completed 7-of-9 passes for 129 yards, throwing no interceptions or touchdown passes. Mekhi Alexander led the Marauders with three catches and 50 receiving yards.
