Women's Swimming Starts off 2022-23 Season Strong With a Win Over Frostburg

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville women's swim team opened its season with a dominating win over Frostburg State University on Saturday afternoon. Millersville outscored the Bobcats, 166-94.

- Leah Eckert opened her season with a new pool record in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.14) beating the previous record set by Brigid McDonnell in 2012. This was a PSAC Championship qualifying time.
- Jane McClelland is now ranked fifth all-time at Millersville with her 1000-yard freestyle performance (11:01.51).
- Claire Weaver swam two PSAC Championship qualifying times in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.06) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.68).
- Maddi Stoner swam a PSAC cut time in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.74).
- Jordan Plempel also swam a PSAC qualifier in the 50-yard freestyle (25:01).
INSIDE THE RESULTS
- Millersville won nine of the 14 events contested.
- The team finished first or second in 13 out of the 14 events
- Five Marauders achieved PSAC qualifying times in their specific events.
