
Marauders Finish Fifth After Solid Second Round

Grove City, Pa- A strong second round from the Millersville men's golf team helped it finish tied for fifth place at the Hal Hansen Invitational.
The Marauders finished the two-round day tied for fifth place with Shepherd after shooting 42-over-par in the 12-team field. After shooting 28-over-par in round one of the invitational, Millersville improved in the second round by posting a finish of 14-over-par. The 302 score in round two was second to only Gannon by one stroke. Gannon, the first-place finisher of the event shot 13-over-par in both rounds to secure their top finish.
Bobby Lugiano led the Marauders by shooting 6-over-par through 36 holes. He shot an even 72 in the second round to help lead the team to their fifth-place finish. Lugiano's three birdies in round two helped him finish tied for eighth place overall.
Noah Keener shot a 75 in round one and a 77 in round two on the par 72 course. This resulted in an overall finish tied for 14th place. Christopher Knox did not finish far behind, tied for an overall finish of 19th place after shooting 9-over-par throughout the two rounds and an improved round two score of 73. Carl Ernst shot a 168 and Ty Morral shot a 170 through 36 holes.
The Marauders are back in action on Oct.14 at the PSAC Championship.
