ABOUT THE GAME

  • Millersville will look to gain its 70th all-time victory over Mansfield on Saturday afternoon in what will be its third game of the week. The Marauders currently own a six-game winning streak over the Mountaineers that dates back to the 2017-18 season.

  • Millersville’s all-time leading scoring, Lauren Lister, is currently leading the team in scoring this season at 11.8 points per game. The redshirt senior is shooting 43% from the floor and 63% from the charity strike. 
  • Erika Reed has gotten thins going from deep as of late. The guard has started to fit the "three and d" role the Marauders desperately need, knocking down three 3-pointers and grabbing six rebounds in Wednesday night's loss to West Chester. She has also hit a 3-point shot in three consecutive games, the longest streak for any Marauder this season. 
  • Bria Beverly and Christa Ricks have been solid additions for Millersville off the bench as well, each recording eight points against West Chester while combining for eight rebounds. 

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS

  • Jasmine Hilton leads the Mountaineers this season in scoring (12.2), rebounding (8.4), and steals (2.0). The forward has scored over 28 twice this season in wins over Clarion and Shippensburg. 
  • Paige Whitfield and Sydney Reed also provide offense for Mansfield, with both of them averaging over 9 points per game. Whitfield also grabs ranks first on the team in assists (3.0) and second in rebounds 4.9.
  • As a team Mansfield is getting outscored 772-698 on the year and giving up the ball around 19 times a game.

THE LAST TIME OUT

Millersville: West Chester 59, Millersville 54 (Jan. 19, 2022) - The Marauders held a leads throughout the second and third quarters of the game but were unable to edge out West Chester in the end. Lauren Lister finished with a team-high 16 points. 

Mansfield: Pitt-Johnstown 59, Mansfield 47 (Jan. 19, 2022) - No Mountaineer was able to score double-digits in this defensive battle.
