Millersville baseball's Jeff Taylor named CoSIDA Academic All-District

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Already crowned the PSAC East Pitcher of the Year and selected as an All-Atlantic Region performer, Millersville University pitcher Jeff Taylor has now also received recognition for his efforts as a student. He has been named CoSIDA Academic All-District 2.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. The prestigious teams are comprised of three pitchers, a catcher, four infielders, three outfielders and a designated hitter. Taylor was one of the three pitchers selected from the PSAC, Mountain East and CIAA.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be a significant contributor to their team and maintain a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA. Taylor owns a 3.59 GPA as a sports business major. He was recently recognized as a PSAC Scholar-Athlete.
On the mound, Taylor led the PSAC in both innings pitched (69) and wins (10), going 10-2 with a 2.87 ERA and .192 batting average against.
Taylor is the first Millersville baseball player to be recognized as CoSIDA Academic All-District since Dan Johnson in 2014.
