
Yanoski takes first, Millersville places third at Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Millersville women's golfer Hannah Yanoski claimed her second consecutive individual victory at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational.
Yanoski bested West Chester's Josephine Genuardi by eight strokes in round two to pull ahead into the first place spot. She shot 82-79 for a two-day score of 161 (+19). Yanoski now holds two career wins with both coming this season in back-to-back tournaments.
Millersville placed third as a team with a two-day score of 716 (+148). The Marauders came in ahead of PSAC rivals Kutztown, Clarion, East Stroudsburg, and Shepherd. West Chester edged out the Marauders for the second place spot by five strokes. California (Pa.) took first with a two-round score of 705 (+137).
Cassandra Vogel moved up two spots from day one and tied for 11th. Vogel shot 93-91 for a two-day total of 184 (+42). This marked the first top-25 finish for Vogel this season and the sixth of her career.
Alexandra Craig bested her round one score (94) by two strokes for a two-day total of 186 (+44). The improvement moved Craig up a single spot on the leaderboard finishing in 14th overall. This marked Craig's second top-25 finish of the season and ninth of her career.
Amanda Steier took 18th in the 40-person field marking her first top-25 finish this season and fourth of her career. She shot 94-96 for a two-round total of 190 (+48).
Millersville returns to the course on Friday, April 9 and Saturday, April 19 for the PSAC Championships at the Hershey Country Club on the east course.
