Yanoski claims individual first, Millersville places sixth at Charleston Invitational

CHARLESTON, W.V. – Millersville women's golf senior Hannah Yanoski claimed her first career victory at the Charleston Invitational. Millersville took sixth, ahead of PSAC rival West Chester, with a two-round score of 682 (+114).

Yanoski ended the two rounds tied for first with Wheeling Jesuits' Emily Holzopfel with a two-round score of 149 (+7). The senior claimed final victory with a birdie on the second playoff hole. Yanoski also bested her 18-hole record by six strokes shooting one-under (71) in the first round.

Amanda Steier tied for 31^st shooting 87-84 for a two-round score of 171 (+29).

Cassandra Vogel and Alexandra Craig both tied for 49^th place with a two-day total of 181 (+39). Vogel shot 94-97 and Craig shot 84-97.

Taylor Hileman played in her second tournament as a Marauder and placed 62^nd overall. She shot consecutive 101's for a two-round total of 202 (+60).

Millersville returns to the course on April 5 and 6 for the West Chester Invitational at the Penn Oaks Golf Club. It will be the last tournament for the Marauders before the PSAC Championships.
