REACTION FROM HEAD COACH SCOTT VANDEGRIFT
On the teams' improvements over the semester:
"I wasn't surprised to see the progression… We were led by our number four and five players, so we don't really know where our best score is going to come from and that's where you start to gel as a team. "
On the first win of the year:
"It really was a team win. The team is learning how to handle everything with so many underclassmen. With classes, practice, and travel, they have gotten acclimated, and we've seen the improvement. The win couldn't happen at a better time to get us ready for the spring. We're proud of this group, they know how to play hard and when things don't work out, they know how to handle it with class."
