McCullough leads Marauders at PSAC Championship

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Millersville University cross country team finished in 11^th place out of the 18 teams competing in the 2021 PSAC Championship Race. The Marauders improved four spots as they took 14^th/15 in last year's race during the pandemic shortened 2020-21 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Sophomore Kayce McCullough was the first Marauder to cross the finish line, taking 40^th place with a time of 24:34.0.
Jillian Miller was the next Marauder to finish as she took 48^th with a time of 24:44.4.
Millersville finished with 277 team points, 218 points off the pace of PSAC Champion Edinboro University, as the Fighting Scots won the conference title with 59 team points.
Sydney Wolf of Seton Hill took the PSAC Individual title with a time of 22:23.8.

The 11^th place finish was the best Marauder run at the PSAC Championships since 'Ville took 10^th in the 2011 PSAC Championship race.

On improving four spots from last year's PSAC Championship: "I'm pleased with the efforts today. This group did a nice job with summer training and fall training despite their overall lack of experience. Not everything went our way this season but the attitudes and resilience they have shown is very commendable. They are already trying to figure how they could place higher next year before they even cooled down today. Their positive attitudes and work ethic are going to serve these women very well over their career here and in life."
