ABOUT THE RACE

Millersville will be competing in their fifth event of the fall this Friday during the PSAC Championship. The race is set to begin at 12 p.m. on Friday as the women compete in a 6K course in Kutztown.

HISTORY

Ville has never won the PSAC Championship, but the Marauders do have runner-up finishes from 1989, 1992, and 1994 while having third place finishes in 1990 and 1993.
Two Marauders have won the PSAC Championship, with Kellie Boozer (1990) and Jo Rupp (1995) taking first place in their respective title runs.

This team has done a good job of preparing for the season, building fitness and racing awareness. We seem to be fairly healthy and I’m excited to see how the team responds to a championship experience.

SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS

Millersville is coming off a 14th place finish in the 2020-21 PSAC Championship race. Ville has been led by Jillian Miller, Hali Wagner, and Morgan Janiuk as the quartet have consistently been among the top Marauder finishers.
In the 2020 PSAC Championship, Morgan Janiuk was the team's top finisher, placing 41st with a time of 20:03.6 in her first collegiate race. The race was a 5K distance as opposed to the usual 6K championship distance.
Jillian Miller was the second Marauder to cross the finish line in 2020, as she placed 68th with a time of 20:49.3.
In 2021, Januik has the best time for Millersville throughout the fall, as took 49th in the Lock Haven Invitational with a time of 23:13.2. Januik also had the best finish of the fall for Ville, when she took 20th in the Kutztown Invitational.
Jillian Miller finished the fall slate on a high note, as she was the first Marauder to cross the finish line during the Paul Short Invitational ,taking taking 36th place with a time of 23:48.2.

THE LAST TIME OUT

Millersville: The Marauders took 14th out of the 27 teams competing in the Paul Short Run back on Oct. 1. The race was the largest event of the fall for VIlle.
