Tempe, Ariz. - The Millersville University women's tennis team was presented the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Community Service Award in the Atlantic Region as announced on May 15.
One of the Marauders' biggest community service projects of the year was volunteering their time at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida, along with the men's team. Millersville assisted in cleaning up and beautifying the area after it witnessed a mass shooting that killed 49 innocent civilians and injured 53 more in June of 2016.
This marks the second-straight year the Marauders have received the award.
