ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• After losing the last three of four games to non-conference opponents, the Millersville University softball team looks to begin a new chapter of their schedule--PSAC play--on Friday, March 29 as they travel to East Stroudsburg and then return home the day after for a home doubleheader against Kutztown.
• As the team heads into conference play, five Marauders have batting averages of .300 or higher and is led by
Faith Willenbrock's .402. Willenbrock has sent seven home runs out of the park and owns a .793 slugging percentage which ranks fifth in the conference.
• A quick start is key. The Marauders are undefeated when they hold a lead after the first inning. They are even better when holding the lead after two and three innings with an 11-0 record. Â

Brianna Battavio has recorded a .309 batting average so far this year. She is tied for the most runs on the team with 21. She is tied with
Allie Janowiak with most walks this season with 14. Battavio also leads the team with nine multi-hit games.
• Janowiak hit two key home runs last week including a three-run bomb in the 7-6 game two victory over Lock Haven. Janowiak came up with key at-bats in the Mansfield sweep, going 4-for-4 in game one and a double in game two.
• The Marauders are 11-1 when they scored more than six runs in a game.
• On the mound,
Brianna White has thrown 15 1/3 innings including recording a 4.11 ERA. White has shown flexibility as she has a .313 batting average and a two-game hitting streak.
Emma Bevard leads the team with a 3.50 ERA and 72 innings pitched.
Catherine Johnson holds a 6-5 record while leading the team in strikeouts (37).

• The Marauders swept last year's season series. The Marauders held Kutztown to fewer than six runs in each game. The opposite happened in 2017 as the Golden Bears took the season series, 4-0.
SCOUTING KUTZTOWN
• After missing the playoffs last year and finishing with a 16-21 overall record, Kutztown has responded with a 13-10 record in 2019. The Golden Bears head into the weekend on a three-game winning streak. The Golden Bears returned four seniors to the 2019 roster including All-PSAC honorees Sara Keeny and Cheyenne Jones who both hold batting averages of higher than a .410.
• Kutztown begins conference play at preseason favorite West Chester on Friday before coming to Millersville.
• Tamara Jennings leads the team with five home runs and six doubles for a .833 slugging percentage. Jennings enters the weekend with an 11-game hitting streak.
• Kutztown's pitching has combined for a 4.54 ERA. Through 17 appearances, Bridget Bailey has earned a 6-4 overall record. Bailey has collected four complete games and has struck out 60 batters so far. She holds opposing batters to an average of .279.
