MARAUDERS IN DEPTH
• The Millersville University softball squad will return back to Seaber Softball Stadium this week for back-to-back doubleheaders against Bowie State on Tuesday, March 19 and Pitt-Johnstown the day after. The Marauders are coming off their spring break trip where they went 5-7.
• The Marauders head into the week with a 9-10 record. This week, the squad plays three of their four doubleheaders at home including a Saturday match-up against Mansfield.
• So far this year, the Marauders are hitting .331 with runners in scoring position.
• Faith Willenbrock has been powering the offense this season, recording a .426 batting average, 23 hits, six home runs and a .944 slugging percentage, ranking 33rd in the nation. Willenbrock broke the all-time home run record last week with 17. When Willenbrock has totaled six multi-hit games of far this season with the highest against Virginia Union when she went 4-for-4. Willenbrock shined in the 8-7 Merrimack victory on Saturday as she knocked out two home runs including five RBIs. The last time Willenbrock was at home, she went 3-for-7 including two doubles and a triple all against Jefferson.
• In her second year on the team, Devan Masciulli played a key role in the first half of the spring break trip with two or more hits in a three-game span. Masciulli holds a .293 batting average.
• Brianna Battavio has solidified herself into the starting lineup and has started all 19 games so far. Battavio has the same amount of multi-hit games as Willenbrock. Battavio has been one of the most patient batters on the team, drawing 11 walks. She has a .294 batting average in her first season as a Marauder and is tied for second in hits with 15. The Monmouth transfer has shown her versatility by pitching in two games in Florida. 
• With only getting one hit last year and a 8-11 pitching record, Catherine Johnson was able to focus on her hitting over the winter and it showed over spring break. Johnson holds the second highest batting average on the team with a .320 mark including eight hits, two doubles and three RBIs. In the circle, Johnson has a 4-3 pitching record where she earned three complete games. So far this season, Johnson has struck out 21 batters in 39 innings.
• Six Marauders have appeared on the mound this season. Emma Bevard has shown to be the ace of the group, recording an ERA of 3.97. She has kept opposing batters to an average of .270 while averaging four strikeouts per game. Bevard was named the first PSAC East Pitcher of the Week of the year after a strong performance at the SnowBird Tournament in early February.

• The Marauders has dominated the series, scoring more than 10 runs in all thee games last season. The Marauders have compiled a record of 19-1 including 14-straight victories from 2010-2016. Bowie State ended that streak in 2017 with a 5-3 victory. The Marauders have won the past five games against the Bulldogs.

• The Marauders and the Mountain Cats played for the first time in program history last year. Millersville swept two games at home.

THE LAST MEETING (MILLERSVILLE 16, BOWIE STATE 1) - March 26, 2018)
• Millersville hit 11 home runs in the 17-3 and 16-1 victories over Bowie State. 
• Blatt hit three home runs while going 5 for 8 with six RBIs. Janowiak went 6 for 7, hitting two home runs in the first game.
• Millersville totaled 21 hits in game one and 14 in game two. The last time Millersville had more than 21 hits in a single game was 2010 when it had 22 hits in the 20-1 victory over Lincoln.
• The Marauders broke the single game school record in homers with seven in game one. The seven home runs was the third most in NCAA Division II history, and was one shy of the PSAC record. 

THE LAST MEETING (MILLERSVILLE 3, PITT-JOHNSTOWN 0) - April 18, 2018)
• Bevard pitched a no-hitter in game two, helping the Marauders to a 3-0 triumph. Bevard struck out five batters and only allowed one base runner, who was hit by a pitch. It was Bevard's second career no-hitter.
• Five Marauders had one hit each including Willenbrock extended the lead with a home run.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
• Last year, Bowie State finished with a 14-19 record and 6-11 in conference and reached CIAA Conference Tournament, going 1-2.
• Bowie State comes into Millersville with a 3-8 record.
• In the past five games, the Bulldogs have scored more than 16 runs in three of those matchups.
• The Bulldogs lineup is led by Shany Gordan who holds a .464 batting average including two home runs.
 
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAIN CATS
• The Mountain Cats are led by the bat of Jade Stubblefield who has a .609 batting average which leads the conference. Stubblefield has a 1.087 slugging percentage. Another offensive contirbuter is Kristie Radvan. Radvan has a .316 batting average including a home run in her last game against Saint Michael's. Radvan also had one appearance on the mound, throwing a complete game against Winowa State.
• Kristen Coffay enters the week with a 0.84 ERA, striking out 12 batters and allowing batters a .176 batting average against her. Coffay has a 2-1 record.
• Alyssa Hileman will likely face the Marauders. She holds a 1.00 ERA and a 2-0 record. Hileman has only allowed two runs in 14 innings.
• The softball program at Pitt-Johnstown has only been around since 2015.
