Marauders compete at Fastrack Invitational

Staten Island, N.Y. - Sunflower Greene set a season-best mark in the shot put and won the weight throw, leading the Millersville indoor track and field team at Friday's Fastrack Invitational.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
• Greene won the weight throw at with a toss of 61-5, besting five Division I competitors, who finished in spots two through six. Madison Martin posted a throw of 52-10 to finish eighth--third among Division II throwers.
• Greene was the top collegiate finisher in the shot put "invitational" flight, which included just 13 select athletes. Her 52-6 was a season best, and she topped the third-place finisher by more than 14 feet. Only Monique Riddick, competing unattached, topped Greene. She hit 55-1.
• Destinee Holloman placed 14th in the long jump with a leap of 17-1 3/4.
• No Marauder reached the finals in the 60-meter dash, but Holloman placed 18th with a time of 7.97. Emonie Reviere ran an 8.02 to finish 20th. Gabriela Karch placed 33rd with an 8.10. Brianna Doherty ran an 8.18 and Kay Liebl posted an 8.28.
• Lenaiya Flowers placed 15th in the "invitational" flight of the 400-meter dash. She ran a 59.37. Clara Forney ran a 1:02.50.
• The Marauders came up just shy of a season-best in the 4x400-meter relay. Flowers, Karch, Reviere and Forney ran a 4:00.59, placing third and finishing as the top non-Division I team in the field.

• Millersville travels back to Susquehanna on Feb. 16 for its final meet before the PSAC Indoor Championships.
