Marauders donate to families in need over Thanksgiving

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville University athletic teams took time to assist families who needed some extra help this Thanksgiving by donating food and household goods.

Led by softball head coach Jen Probst, the Marauders worked alongside the Lancaster Recreation Center and the Millersville Development Department to assist 14 families, more than double the number from last year.

"I am really excited that we were able to more than double the amount of families reached this year and include departments outside of athletics to participate," said Probst.

The Marauders shopped for essential Thanksgiving meal items, as well as other household goods. The teams delivered all items directly to the families' doorstep.

"Serving our local community and providing them with meals and supplies is a highlight of the year," stated Probst, "I am looking forward to seeing the growth of this service throughout the Millersville campus for years to come."
