Millersville teams help families in need for Thanksgiving

Millersville, Pa. – Millersville University teams assisted families in need of a little help this Thanksgiving, providing household goods and food. The teams included women's basketball, baseball, field hockey, softball, women's lacrosse, track and field and women's cross country.
Led by softball head coach Jen Probst, the Marauders worked with the Lancaster Recreation Center to find six families.
The Marauders shopped for items that the families needed for Thanksgiving dinner as well as other essential household goods. The teams also delivered the goods right to the families' doorstep.
Some additional items that were supplemented by the golf and men's basketball teams included paper goods, toiletries, non-perishables, hats, gloves, blankets and even some gear and sneakers.
"I am so proud of the enthusiasm of our teams and department to give back," said Probst. "They all went above and beyond to make this special for each of the families."
