ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• The Marauders are looking to snap a three-game losing streak when it hosts Gannon on Saturday. The Golden Knights have fared well against Millersville, holding an 8-3 record in the all-time series. However, the Marauders were victorious the last time these two teams met in Pucillo Gymnasium on Jan. 3, 2015. Current Millersville assistant coach
Alex Stam contributed to the 57-31 win with six points, three rebounds and one assist.
• The Marauders have not lost more than three-straight games all season and have not lost four-straight games since the 2016-17 season. Millersville is 4-5 at home this season, with two of those losses coming to then-No. 20 California (Pa.) and then-No. 3 Indiana (Pa.).Â
• The Marauders have found success with the three as of late, tying a season-high with nine 3-pointers in each of their last two games. They are ranked fifth in the PSAC in 3-point percentage (31.7) and ninth in shooting percentage (41.7).
• Millersville has relied on its starters to handle the majority of the scoring, as the Marauder bench has scored a combined nine points in its last two games.
• Head coach
Mary Fleig explained after the Marauders' last game that teams are starting to key in on
Lauren Lister, and Gannon will likely try and continue this trend. Lister has scored just 22 points in her last two games, her fewest total over a two-game stretch this season. Even with the added pressure from opposing defenses, Lister still ranks among the conference leaders in multiple categories, including fourth in points per game (20.5), seventh in shooting percentage (50.4), tied for 11th in steals per game (1.9) and sixth in minutes per game (35.6).
•
Samantha Brusha, who led the team with 18 points in its last game, has been on a tear as of late. She is averaging 14.7 points, a 53.6 shooting percentage and 57.1 3-point percentage over her last three games. Brusha has been the team's leading scorer four times this season and has totaled double digit points seven times.
•
Olivia Mottern has also played well as of late, averaging 19.5 points, a 60.9 shooting percentage and 62.5 3-point percentage over her last two games. She has also been practically automatic at the free throw line this season, successfully making her last 15 attempts.
