Millersville, Pa. –
Kerry Regner has completed his first recruiting class as the head coach of the Millersville University wrestling program.
Regner has added a group of 13 incoming freshman to expand the roster and make each weight class more competitive. Entering 2018-19, three open starting spots becoming vacant due to graduating seniors
Alex Baider,
Seth Decker,
Zachary Yackenchick, and
Keegan Worley. Regner's first season finished with a 7-7 dual record, and 165-pound
Shane Ruhnke finished sixth at the NCAA Championships, giving Millersville its first All-American since Tom Barley in 1991 when the program was in Division I.
"This class is filled with quality student-athletes whose resumes speak for themselves," said Regner. "In addition, the merit of this class goes beyond classroom and wrestling accomplishments. They are the type of young men who will do good works when no one is watching. Their volunteer and extracurricular clubs lists are countless. It is an exciting time for Millersville wrestling. The season can't come soon enough."
