MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville wrestling program has been selected to host the 2027 NCAA Super Regional.

Millersville will host the one-day competition in 2027 between Feb. 26 - Feb. 28 in Pucillo Gymnasium. Further details will be announced at a later date. 

Head Coach Jerry Boland expressed his excitement about the opportunity to host and what it means for the program, "As far as what it means for the program, anytime you get to host a national qualifier it's a big deal. It's something I have wanted to do since I've arrived here, and we finally got to put the bid in and got accepted. I'm definitely excited though, it's great for our alumni and our fans. I mean this is a program with rich history. Anybody who has wrestled here in the past and they find out we are hosting regionals, I'm sure that's going to be exciting for them, and hopefully they come back and support the program, and the current athletes."

The Marauders are coming off a 12-7 record from last season, during which Bryce Beatty and Nick Cottone qualified for the NCAA Championship. Boland also shared his enthusiasm for the team's outlook for the upcoming year, "As far as we are looking to perform this year, we are so early in the year and the goals are always the same, and the goal is always to get ten guys to nationals. Regardless of how young or inexperienced you are. We have to do the right things every day and see how that evolves. I'm really happy with what this group is showing right now, in terms of their work ethic and their comradery, that usually leads to good things, and we'll see what happens."

Millersville will open its 2025-26 campaign at the Glenville State Invitational on November 1.
