• The Marauders return to the PSAC Tournament for the first time since a 2016 playoff run in which the team made it to the third day of the tournament. In one of the elimination games, Lock Haven took down the Marauders, 2-5.
• In 2016, the Marauders picked up a first round 4-2 win over Slippery Rock and then moved onto Bloomsburg later in the day with a 1-0 pitching duel loss. The Marauders upset No. 12 nationally ranked West Chester 3-2 to advance to Friday.
• The 2018 Softball Championship will be a double-elimination format with Gannon (West), Lock Haven (Central), and West Chester (East) all earning No. 1 seeds. The Golden Eagles and West Chester enter the tournament as arguably the teams to beat. Lock Haven finished the season with a 16-0 conference record while West Chester ended with a 36-11, 14-2 record. The three one seeds of the tournament are also ranked as the statistically the top three pitching staffs of the conference.

The team is powered by their offense of a .331 batting average, .523 slugging percentage and 45 home runs. Millersville leads the conference at the end of the regular season in slugging percentage and home runs.
• Since the first game at Kutztown on April 4, the Marauders have not hit a home run in any of their losses. Millersville has hit 11 home runs against PSAC pitchers which is crucial to be success. The Marauders are 21-4 when they hit a home run.
• The top three scoring leaders on the team are two freshmen and a sophomore who are all appearing in their first PSAC Tournament.
• Four Millersville starters lead the offense with batting average over .346. Leading the squad, freshman
Faith Willenbrock enters the tournament with a .406 batting average, .827 slugging percentage and .409 on-base percentage. Willenbrock is leading the conference in home runs with 14. Freshman
Allie Janowiak concluded her freshman regular season campaign with a .428 on-base percentage and second on the team in batting average (.397).

Rebecca Blatt has posted a .455 batting average against PSAC East pitchers. Blatt has a .800 slugging percentage against those conference opponents.
• In the circle, senior pitcher
Cassidy Pinchorski has lowered her ERA to 3.08 going into the PSAC Tournament. This is Pinchorski's second PSAC Tournament in her career. Pinchorski did not appear in any of the games in 2016. Pinchorski is allowing conference batters an average of .297 while posting a 2.87 ERA in nine conference appearances. Pinchorski needs four more strikeouts to tie the all-time strikeout record in Millersville history.
• A win for the Marauders against Lock Haven will advance them to Thursday where they will face the winner of Shippensburg and Seton Hill matchup. A loss for the Marauders will put them in the first elimination game of the tournament on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in which they would battle IUP or California (Pa.).
