Wheeling, W.Va. – The Millersville University men's golf team placed 10th in the Oglebay Resort Intercollegiate Invitational Sunday afternoon. The teams were limited to just one round as Monday's second round got cancelled due to snow.
Senior Connor Sheehan recorded his best round of the spring with a 1-over 72. Sheehan tied for fifth. Sheehan started his round by dropping a stroke at the par 4 first and then fired four straight birdies to stand 3-under through six. Sheehan finished the front nine with three straight bogies that put him at even 36. Sheehan had bogies on 15 and 16 that dropped him down to 2-over. Sheehan ended his round with a birdie on the 18th hole.
Second on the team and 28th overall, redshirt sophomore Matt Spak finished at 5-over-par. Spak was 6-over through the front nine and then battled back in the back nine.
