GAME NOTES
• The Marauders enter the weekend's doubleheaders coming off a 2-2 weekend, winning both games at Kutztown and dropping two at West Chester. The team sits in third in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division standings.
• This weekend, Millersville has two key PSAC East match-ups that can push it up the standings. First is 15-9 (4-2) Shippensburg and 10-16 (2-4) East Stroudsburg. The Marauders finish their weekend with a non-conference doubleheader against Clarion on Sunday.
• Millersville has gone 5-5 over its last 10 games. It has done so by scoring in bunches. In those 10 games, all of the Marauders wins came from having five or more runs.
• It is evident that Millersville is powered by hitting the ball out of the park this season. The Marauders have hit half of their home runs in the season in the past 10 games (16 out of the 32 total).Â
• Millersville ranks second in the conference with a .329 batting average. Also, the team is leading the PSAC in home runs with 32 and in RBIs with 161. Millersville leads the league in slugging percentage with .537. The Marauders have the offense when they need it by when they have bases loaded opportunities. The Marauders are hitting .419 with the bases loaded and .377 with runners on base.Â

Rebecca Blatt has piled up 36 RBIs with 16 coming in the last 10 games. Blatt leads the PSAC in RBIs with Sara Ercolani of West Chester behind by seven. Blatt has recorded 10 multi-RBI games and four games with three hits.
• Freshman
Faith Willenbrock hit six home runs in the starting 17 games but Willenbrock has hit just one homer in the last 10 games. Still, Willenbrock ranks first in the PSAC in slugging percentage at .841. Willenbrock also ranks fourth in batting average at .455. She is one hit shy of tyng Bri Garber of West Chester for the PSAC lead.Â
SCOUTING SHIPPENSBURG
• Shippensburg has historically dominated the series against Millersville, going 93-33 and beating the Marauders three out of four games in 2017. The Marauders won the second game 7-3 in Shippensburg, but the Raiders narrowly outscored 19-15 in the next three match-ups.
• In the last 10 games, the Raiders have gone 7-3. Shippensburg outscored Millersville 57-39 over last 10 games. Their last game included splitting against Shepherd with game one going to the Rams 8-7. The Raiders came back and claimed the final game in a 1-0 shutout by Taryn Wilson.
• Three regulars are hitting .318 or higher. That group is led by Kayla Bonawitz' .458. Bonawitz, ranks second in the PSAC in batting average.
• Taryn Wilson has been among the PSAC's most dominant pitchers this season. Currently, Wilson has pitched the most innings with a PSAC-best 128 strikeouts. Wilson has posted 13 complete games with two shutouts and a 3.36 ERA.Â
• The Raiders are in second place in the PSAC East but Millersville can jump them with two wins.Â
SCOUTING EAST STROUDSBURGÂ
• In the first meeting in East Stroudsburg in 2017, the two sides split but the Warriors swept the Marauders in the second doubleheader at East Stroudsburg.
• This is the second meeting between the two teams this season. On March 30, the teams split with game one ending in a game-winning home run by junior
Morgan Almodovar in the top of the ninth inning for a 5-4 win. In the second game, the Warriors won 6-4 in game two.Â
• Since the Marauders and Warriors played, East Stroudsburg has gone 3-3 with losses to West Chester and one against Shippensburg. The Warriors won two games at Goldey-Beacom and the final game at Shippensburg.
• Six regulars have collected 20 or more hits this season. Mary Wallick leads the team in five offensive categories boasting a line of .349 batting average and .486 on base percentage. Wallick hit eight doubles, and walked nine times--a team best.
• Angelica Dark has recorded the most innings so far out of the three Warriors' starters with 84 1/3 inning, 38 strikeouts that earned her a 3.82 ERA. Taylor Keeney is 3-2 with a 2.98 ERA, 25 strikeouts to just 23 walks in six starts covering 44 2/3 innings. Despite only getting the start once, Mickayla Grow owns a team best 2.45 ERA in 25 2/3 innings.
SCOUTING CLARIONÂ
• The Golden Eagles return back to action looking to bounce back from a six-game losing streak. The Golden Eagles' last win was on March 31 when they won 2-1 at Mansfield.
• Clarion's Taylor Nonnebberg is leading the team in batting average at .394. Another big bat on the team, Jessica Cartia has hit five home runs and is leading the team in home runs. Cartia's batting line goes .318/.621/.366. On Feb. 19, Cassidy Runyan was named PSAC Central Division athlete of the week by batting .467 (7 for 15) with three home runs and seven runs batted in Clarion's opening six games.
• Pitcher Sarah Gossard has the lowest ERA on the team at 4.91. Gossard earned PSAC Central Co-Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 26 in which she threw five no-hit innings against Saint Augustine.
• Millersville and Clarion do not frequently meet but the games have been close. The first ever match-up went to the Golden Eagles in 1983 as they edged out the Marauders 1-0. In 2016, Millersville faced Clarion in Myrtle Beach and won, 1-0.Â
• In the past two years, games between Millersville and Clarion have been decided by three runs or fewer.
