ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• Two of the Atlantic Region's most consistent programs meet at Cooper Park for the first time ever Saturday and Sunday. Millersville has played in five consecutive and six of the last seven NCAA regional tournaments--a streak matched only by Seton Hill, which has reached the NCAA Tournament eight seasons in a row. The 2018 Collegiate Baseball Preseason Poll had the Marauders and Griffins tied for 27th.
• Millersville is coming off a three-game series loss to Le Moyne--its first sweep at home since 2013. Millersville totaled 27 hits in the three games but scored just 10 runs. Le Moyne, however, totaled 33 runs on 39 hits. Millersville walked 17 batters in the three-game series and committed four errors in each of the first two games.
• Eli Nabholz has produced three strong starts in a row, giving up just 17 hits and five earned runs with 23 strikeouts and four walks over his last 18 1/3 innings pitched.
• Cole Friese has been red-hot and enters the series on a nine-game hitting streak. He's had five multi-hit games in that stretch and has scored 12 runs.
• The Marauders excel at drawing walks, totaling 88 and averaging 5.5 per game. Six Marauders have drawn at least eight walks, and all four of those hitters own on base percentages greater than .350. No one is better than Ted Williams, who has 16 this season and 105 in his career. He recently passed Ryan McCormick for third place in Millersville history. He is now five walks behind Tyler Orris' second-place total of 110. Ernest McCoy's 117, which has stood since 1988, looms 12 walks way.
• Millersville is looking for Ben Snyder to bounce back after he went 1 for 12 with no RBIs in the Le Moyne series. Still, Snyder owns a .385 average and leads the team with 24 RBIs.

SERIES HISTORY
• Despite meeting just nine times, Millersville and Seton Hill have built a rivalry through pressure-packed games played in the postseason. Of those nine meetings, seven have come in the postseason. The only regular season games between the two clubs was played in 2012 and 2016 in Williamston, N.C. Seton Hill won the first game 9-2 while Millersville won 14-5 in February, 2016. This will be the first time that the teams have met on a home field.
• Seton Hill won four of the first five meetings, but the first went to Millersville (5-3) in the 2011 NCAA Atlantic Regional. Seton Hill eliminated Millersville from the regional in 2013 and again in 2014, winning three games in those two tournaments by a combined 23-4. But since then, Millersville has won four in a row. The 2015 regional elimination game went to 13 innings and ended on a Dan Stoltzfus walk-off home run. The Marauders edged Seton Hill 2-1 in the opening game of the 2016 NCAA regional as well. Brandon Miller won that game with a complete game and with the help of Chas McCormick's diving catch for the final out, stranding the go-ahead run on first base.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
• After a 4-0 start that included a pair of shutout wins over Shippensburg, Seton Hill has lost 6 of 7, most recently a 9-3 loss to West Chester. Run production has been the primary culprit. Aside from 23 runs scored in the win over Ohio Valley and 22 against Missouri-St. Louis, Seton Hill has scored 31 runs in the other nine games--an average of 3.4 per game. The Griffins are a free-swinging club as well, having struck out 10 or more times in six games.
• On the season, however, six regulars are hitting .387 or higher. That group is led by Craig Lewis' .483. Lewis, however, has gone three appearances without a hit. Tom McCarthy is back from a season-ending injury and has a hit in 8 of 11 games.
• Perry DellaValle has been among the region's most dominant pitchers in recent years, earning all-region first team honors as a sophomore. His 2017 season was cut short with an injury, however. He made just six starts. DellaValle is 1-2 in 2018, giving up 11 runs in his last two starts after tossing six shutout innings against Shippensburg to start the season.
• Starter Patrick Monteverde has been solid, striking out 17 and posting a 1.72 ERA in three starts spanning 15 2/3 innings. Reliever Bryce Spak has struck out 10 and not allowed a run in nine innings.
