Selinsgrove, Pa. - Millersville's 4x200-meter relay team set a school record and three Marauders posted runner-up finishes at Saturday's Susquehanna Challenge.
The team of Emonie Reviere, Lenaiya Flowers, Clara Forney and Courtney Ingold won the event by more than four seconds with a time of 1:45.05, slashing more than a second off of the previous school record, which was set in 2013.
Three Marauders finished in the top 11 in the long jump, led by sophomore Brianna Doherty's second-place finish. Doherty's 17-9 3/4 was a career-best indoor jump and moved her to sixth in the PSAC. Kay Liebl hit a PSAC Championships qualifying distance of 17-2 and took sixth. Destinee Holloman placed 11th at 16-3 1/4.
Sophomore Madison Martin finished runner-up in the weight throw with a toss of 50-8 3/4. Teammate Stephanie Garner hit 44-0 1/2 for sixth place, and Amanda Myers took eighth with a toss of 42-9 3/4. Aliyah Striver was Millersvile's top finisher in the shot put, placing sixth with a mark of 37-6.
Arianna Camel placed in the top six of two events. Camel was the runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles, running a season-best time of 8.97--narrowly missing a PR by .01. She placed sixth in the high jump, clearing 4-11 3/4 and also ran a career-best 2:35.21 in the 800 meters.
