• The Marauders are looking to be in the contending group in the final round at this weekend's PSAC Championship. The tournament will be held at the East Course at Hershey Golf Club. The conference changed the format of play this year to a three-round tournament beginning on Friday, Oct. 19 and finishing on Sunday, Oct. 21.
• Millersville has four PSAC titles under its belt and is seeking a fifth. The last time Millersville was the PSAC champion was 2013 when Conor Gilbert claimed the medalist honor by shooting a 1-under 143 over 36 holes.
• Indiana (Pa.), looks to defend its league title this weekend and win a third consecutive championship. The Crimson Hawks have had a successful fall with first-place finishes at the Hal Hansen and Mercyhurst Invitationals. Matt Cocorikis is rated the top player in the Atlantic Region with an average score of 72.5. He won the Hal Hansen Invitational and finished second at Mercyhurst and Bud Elwell invitationals.
• The top two golfers in the region will battle this weekend, as Mercyhurst's Adrian Larsen is right behind Cocorikis with a 73.27 average.
• Millersville is coming off a first-place finish at the Revolutionary Golf Classic and a second-place finish at the Alvernia Invitational.
• Coming off back-to-back PSAC Player of the Week honors, redshirt junior Matt Spak has been shooting low numbers in the past two tournaments, posting two 2-under 70's and one 2-over 74. The 70 at the Alvernia Invitational put him in first place in the tournament--the second win of his career. Spak did not play in last year's conference tournament but played in the 2016 event, finishing in a tie for 16th place after shooting 78-75.
• Senior Matt Keim has played in all of the five events this season. Keim recorded his best finish at the Hal Hansen Invitational by carding 74-69 to finish in third of the 62-man field. At last year's PSAC Championship, Keim had a rough first round, shooting a 86 but then fired a 2-over 73 in the final round. He finished in 24th place.
• With only two events under his belt this season, junior John Devic will be competing in his first-ever PSAC Championship. Devic played as an individual at the Revolutionary Golf Classic where he carded 72-74, finishing in fourth place.
• Redshirt senior Corey Betham has been going low recently, firing a 77 at the Alvernia Invitational and a 74-73 at the Revolutionary Golf Classic. Betham broke his career low 18-hole score in the final round (73). Betham is competing in his first conference championship. Betham has a 79.1 scoring average.
• Sophomore Ronnie Yanoski is averaging owns a 79.2 scoring average.
• The starting lineup for the Marauders includes Keim (1), Spak (2), Devic (3), Betham (4) and Yanoski (5).
• The men tee off on No. 1 Friday at 10:18 a.m. Both men and women's golf competitions are being played at Hershey Country Club East Course going off separate tees.
