MATCH OVERVIEW
• The Marauders are celebrating

Seth Decker,
Keegan Worley and
Zachary Yackenchick on Senior Day Saturday at Pucillo Gymnasium. This is the final home match of the season.
• Millersville's last head-to-head matchup was on Dec. 2 when the team lost 32-11 to Gannon. The East Stroudsburg match, which was postponed because of weather, was rescheduled to the Kutztown Duals on Jan. 26-27.
• Redshirt junior 165-pound
Shane Ruhnke and 285-pound Yackenchick led the Marauders at the 15
th annual "Shorty" Hitchcock Memorial Classic. Ruhnke placed third and Yackenchick captured fourth place in their respectable weight classes.
• Ruhnke started the day with a 15-11 decision victory over Phillip Spadofora of University of Maryland that took him to the round of eight. He could not over power Owen Brown for Ruhnke to go to the consolation bracket. Once in the consolation bracket, Ruhnke went on fire to go undefeated. Ruhnke claimed two major decision wins and then finish off the day with two medical forfeits to win third place in the 165-pound weight class.
• Yackenchick went all the way to the round of four in the championship bracket. Yackenchick beat Franklin & Marshall's Parker Fox in a 5-3 decision. Then, he advanced to the championship semifinal by claiming a 5-2 decision victory over John Barlow of Kutztown. He faced runner-up Andrew Piehl of Navy in which Yackenchick lost in a 5-0 decision that put him in the consolation semifinal where he defeating Alex Esposito of Rutgers, 9-5. Yackenchick fell short of third place to get pinned by Ben Sullivan at 2:31.
• Yesterday, Ruhnke moved up the national rankings to ninth at the 165-pound weight class and second in the Super Regional 1 rankings. Sophomore
Aaron Wildonger went down to eight in the 125-pound weight class regional poll. Baider dropped one position in the regional rankings to fifth. Junior 197-pound
Colton Dull jumped up to seventh in his regional weight class.Â
• The wrestling team dropped one spot to 12th in the Jan. 18 Super Regional 1 team poll. Millersville received four votes in the recent NWCA national top 25 team rankings.
• Last season, Millersville won six matches by forfeit to claim a 49-3 victory over American International. Millersville leads the series, 4-1 over American International and that includes wins in each of the last three seasons.Â
• Baider has totaled a 40-29 overall record in his Millersville career. In his first season, Baider collected an overall record of 9-8. He claimed a larger role on the team in his sophomore season when he recorded a 23-14 overall record. In that same season, Baider placed in three tournaments in the 133-pound weight class. He took fifth at the PSAC Championships and sixth at the NCAA Super Regional. Baider suffered an injury and did not compete in the 2016-17 season. Baider currently has an 8-7 overall record this season.
• Decker has competed for four seasons with 29 career wins. Decker scored six wins in his freshman season. In his sophomore season, Decker wrestled in 13 duals for Millersville and posted a pin and a technical fall in the NCAA Super Region 1. Decker finished the 2016-17 season at a record of 7-9. The senior has the same record this season at this point of the season and needs one more win to claim his 30
th career victory.
• Worley has been a part of the Millersville wrestling team for five years. Worley earned the first pin of his career in the 2016-17 season against Israel Mena of Middlesex at the 0:57 mark of the match. Worley competed in six matches this season but his season was shortened because of an injury.
• Yackenchick earned a starting spot this season at 285 pounds and has earned an 8-11 overall record--the best season in his career. Yackenchick scored his first pin of his career this season at the W&J Invitational when he pinned Eli Swain of Thiel at the 4:09 mark of the match.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• In his second season as head coach, Rich Hansenfus has had a rough start, going 0-6.
• The team finished fourth at the City of Springfield Championships, with JoJo Gonzalez and Jenard Rosemond posting 3-0 performances. The Yellow Jackets still lost all three head-to-head matchups.
• This team is very young that includes six freshman. The team is led by senior 285-pound Rosemond.
• Last season, Rosemond led the Yellow Jackets with 18 victories by pin. Rosemond earned the team's fastest pin of the year of eight seconds against Roger Williams' Andrew Patsun.
• Rosemond won 5-0 over
Caleb Warner last season.
• The Yellow Jackets' highest dual match score this season was eight against Sacred Heart when they lost 46-8.
• American International earned 15th position in the newest Super Regional 1 Rankings. Gonzalez is in the fourth spot in the 149-pound regional weight class. Rosemond sneaks into the 285-pound regional weight class to claim the eight spot.
