MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released its latest national and regional rankings this week, with six Millersville wrestlers earning recognition. Redshirt junior
Nick Cottone is the lone Marauder ranked nationally, while five additional wrestlers appeared in the regional rankings. As a team, Millersville is ranked No. 7 in the Atlantic Region in the most recent update.
Cottone is coming off a strong performance at the Midwest Classic, where he placed sixth overall at 133 pounds. The New Jersey native is ranked 12th nationally and third regionally in his weight class. He currently holds a 9–4 overall record this season, including a 6–4 mark in tournament competition.
Redshirt freshman Gavin Boland made his first career appearance in the regional rankings, checking in at No. 6 at 125 pounds. Boland went 2–2 at the Midwest Classic this past weekend in Indianapolis and carries an 8–8 overall record on the season.
At 141 pounds, Taylor Robinson is ranked fourth in the region. Robinson finished 1–2 in Indianapolis, earning his lone victory by fall. He holds a 7–4 overall record this season and is 4–4 in tournament action.
Richie DeFulvio remains in the top five regionally at 157 pounds. The sophomore has not competed since December 5, when he suffered a decision loss in a dual against East Stroudsburg, moving his season record to 5–2. DeFulvio did not travel to Indianapolis due to a last-minute illness.
Chase Bish joined Boland in breaking into the regional rankings, earning the No. 5 spot at 165 pounds. Bish holds a 12–6 overall record this season and went 2–2 at the Midwest Classic, advancing to the second day of competition before being eliminated in his opening match.
Rounding out the group is redshirt freshman Jaxon Townsend, who is ranked No. 5 at 197 pounds. Townsend finished 0–2 in tournament action in Indianapolis and currently sits at 7–6 overall as the season reaches its midpoint.
The Marauders will travel to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on Friday to compete in the Wilkes Open, which will conclude the first half of the 2025–26 season.
