
Greene sets PSAC record, school record at Coach I Open

Lancaster, Pa. - Sunflower Greene broke her own school record in the weight throw and set a new all-time PSAC record in the shot put as Millersville women's indoor track and field ended a long layoff with competition at Saturday's Coach I Open.
In the shot put, Greene took first place with a mark of 50-0 1/2, which stands as the third-best in Division II this season. She became the first PSAC female athlete to clear 50 feet, breaking the conference record that she set earlier this season.
Greene hit a mark of 58-3 1/4, besting her previous school record by more than three feet, improving her NCAA provisional mark in the process. With Greene finishing first, the Marauders went one-two in the standings with Madison Martin taking second with a throw of 49-6 1/2. Amanda Myers placed sixth with a season-best 46-0 1/2. Stephanie Garner also hit a PSAC qualifying mark with a toss of 42-1 1/4.
Erin Winters won the pole vault, matching her personal-best, clearing a height of 10-11 3/4.
Millersville sprinters captured four of the top seven places in the 60-meter dash. Courtney Ingold's 7.92 was good for second place. Destinee Holloman ran a personal-best time of 7.99, placing third. Emonie Reviere took fourth with a time of 8.10. Brianna Doherty ran a season-best 8.28 to place seventh.
Doherty was also the runner-up in the long jump with a jump of 17-2 3/4.
Marauders took three of the top six places in the 200-meter dash with Clara Forney's 26.62 and second-place finish leading the way. Courtney Ingold took third with a time of 27.14 and Lenaiya Flowers placed sixth (27.81).
