
Women’s golf wins Ursinus Fall Invitational, Yanoski and Keopraseut shoots career lows

Pottstown, Pa. – The Millersville University women's golf team claimed the 2017 Ursinus Fall Invitational title Tuesday. Four members of the team finished inside the top eight.
With her 14th top-10 career finish, junior Danielle Greene led the team with a 7-over 78. Greene was five shots off the leader. Freshman Hannah Yanoski set her career low by shooting 7-over 78 which finished her in a tie for fourth.
Freshman Belle Keopraseut also posted a career low by recording an 8-over 79, one shot off her teammates. Keopraseut earned outright seventh place.
Sophomore Joelie Bennett rounded out the event in a tie for eighth place by shooting a 13-over 84. Senior Alexa Strong shot a 90 to take 12th.
Millersville ran away with the team victory. The second place team, Alvernia University, was 28 shots off the Marauders lead. As an individual player, Allison Cooper from Penn State-Harrisburg was the medalist by shooting a 2-over 73. Host Ursinus' Emily McGarrigle was one shot off Cooper at a 3-over 74.
The Marauders claimed the same championship in 2015-16 season just before winning the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship title. Greene took medalist honors that season.
The Marauders' next tournament is the Alvernia Invitational on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
