
Millersville throwers compete at Shippensburg

Shippensburg, Pennsylvania - The Millersville University track and field team sent its throwers to compete in a rare mid-week invitational at Shippensburg Wednesday.
Sunflower Greene competed in the shot put, discus and hammer throw, taking first in the hammer at 179-2. She placed second in the shot put, hitting 44-0. In the discus, Greene finished fifth with a toss of 131 1/4.
Freshman Madison Martin edged Greene in the discus with a throw of 131-9 1/4. Madison also placed 10th in the shot and ninth in the hammer. Millersville dominated the hammer competition, placing five in the top nine. Along with Greene winning the event, Deja Loose took second at 163-11. Loose also placed sixth in the shot put. Stephanie Garner matched her season-high in the hammer with a throw of 140-3.
