Four Marauders compete in last chance meet at West Chester

WEST CHESTER Pa. - After earning a fifth-place finish at last week's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the Millersville University women's track and field team sent four Marauders to a Last Chance Meet hosted by West Chester University.

Senior Mary Weiss, recently recognized as the Scholar Athlete, competed in the 400-meter dash, while Annika Gunderson looked to bounce back in the javelin throw. Sarah Hessler and Chloe Enck took part in the hammer throw, aiming to improve their positions on the NCAA Division II qualifying list - which can be found here - while Hessler also looked to place on the discus list. If the standings remain unchanged, Hessler currently sits 16th on the NCAA Division II qualifying list, while Enck ranks 36th.

Notable Results

Mary Weiss finished in third in the 400-meter dash with a season best 1:01.40.
Sarah Hessler finished first in the discus with a 141-05 and first in the hammer throw with a 180-00.
Chloe Enck finished in second in the hammer throw with a 168-07.
Annika Gunderson finished in first in the javelin with a 112-02.
