GAME OVERVIEW
• After defeating Kutztown and Cheyney at home, the Marauders have lost four of their last five matchups, including a double-overtime loss at home against Lock Haven.
• Despite getting 16 points from
Alayah Hall and 14 from
Jade Farquhar, Millersville blew two late leads, one in the fourth quarter and one in the first overtime to fall against the Bald Eagles.
• The last four losses have come by an average of 9.25 points per game. Millersville has struggled to take care of the ball, with a season-high 29 turnovers in the 10-point loss to Bloomsburg.
• Millersville has juggled the lineup around a bit, having 10 different players start at one point or another this season.
Kendra Bamberger was inserted into the starting lineup against Lock Haven and had her best game of the season. The redshirt sophomore had a career-high 13 points to go with six rebounds, two assists and a block.
• Fellow sophomore
Jade Farquhar also had an outstanding game against the Bald Eagles, totaling 14 points (second-highest in career) in 43 minutes.
• The Marauders have struggled from beyond the arc as of late, shooting just 26 percent (19-75) from 3-point range in the last five games, including a 6-23 effort against Lock Haven.  In the last four losses, opponents have feasted on Millersville shooting 45 percent from the floor.
SCOUTING KUTZTOWN
• Kutztown enters Saturday's matchup winning three of it's last four games but coming off a loss to East Stroudsburg. Sierra Taylor is sixth in the PSAC in assists, averaging 4.3 per game while teammate Jenna Altomare ranks fourth with 57 3-pointers on the season. As a team, the Golden Bears have the third-best assist-turnover-ratio of 1.02 per game.
• Kutztown boasts a balanced scoring attack with four players averaging more than 11 points per game.
• Alex Heck leads the team with 13.8 points per game and is pulling down 7.4 rebounds per game. Kelsey Watson leads the team in rebounding with 7.7 per game (9th in the PSAC) and is scoring 11.4 points per contest.
THE LAST MEETING (Jan. 21, 2017: MU 62, KU 40)
• In the January meeting, Millersville controlled the game from the tip, holding Kutztown in single digits in three of the four quarters of play.
• Despite having the same number of rebounds (36) and turnovers (17), Millersville outscored the Golden Bears 24 to 11 in points off turnovers.
• Four players had double-digit scoring efforts inlcuding
Aunjel Van Brakle who had 13 points to go along with 10 rebounds.
Alayah Hall scored 11 while
Courtney Hinnant added 10 in the effort.
• Sierra Taylor had 13 points for Kutztown, but Kelsey Watson was the next leading scorer for the Golden Bears with eight points and six rebounds.
PSAC IMPLICATIONS
• Millersville currently sits fifth in the PSAC East, one spot ahead of Kutztown. The Marauders have three games against eastern opponents to help secure a spot in the playoffs and potentially host a first-round game.
