PREVIEW: Millersville on the road for second PSAC game of the season

The Millersville Marauders (3–3, 0–1 PSAC) look to improve to .500 in conference play against the Edinboro Fightin' Scots (4-6, 0-1 PSAC) who are on a three-game win streak since starting the season 1-6. The Marauders offense is anchored down by freshman point guard, Daniella Ranieli, who is averaging 12.5 PPG after exploding for a career high 20-point performance against Wilmington University on Friday afternoon. Carley Berk also had her best game as a Marauder this past Friday with 11 points and 75.0% from three point range. The Fightin' Scots are very top-heavy on their offensive attack, with three scorers averaging double digit points, those being Ava Hadadd (14.0), Rachael Manfredo (12.7), and Taylor Blunt (10.4). The Fightin' Scots have the edge in field goal percentage shooting a more efficient 44.1% compared to the Marauders' low 35.5%. The Marauders, who have been challenged on the boards recently, are out rebounding the Fightin' Scots at an average of 48.3 RPG as opposed to the Fightin' Scots' 30.6. If the Scots miss at a lesser rate than the Marauders, this may negate the Marauders' rebounding advantage.

The Fightin' Scots are on a three-game win streak and look to push it to four against a Marauder team that capitalized on a huge “get right” game against Wilmington University.
The Marauders are averaging a slim four points greater than the Fightin' Scots at 68.5 PPG to the Scots' 64.0, but the Scots shoot the ball more efficiently than the Marauders do at 44.1% to Millersvilles' 33.5%.
Defensively, the Marauders are more well-suited with 10.5 steals per game to the Fightin' Scots' 6.5 steals.

The Fightin' Scots have historically held the upper hand in their all-time series against Millersville. Across 23 total matchups between the two programs, the Marauders own an 11–12 record (.478), highlighting a closely contested rivalry that has often swung back and forth. The Marauders have been particularly strong at home, posting a 7–6 mark, while Edinboro has found more success at home as well with a 5-3 record against the Marauders. The history between these two teams suggests a competitive matchup in a game that features two teams attempting to pick up their first conference win this season.
