
Greene's 73 lifts her to third, Marauders climb to fourth at PSAC Championship

Hershey, Pa. - Junior Danielle Greene fired a second round 73 to climb into a tie for third and the Millersville women's golf team jumped one spot to finish fourth at the 2017 PSAC Championship held at Hershey Country Club East Course.
After opening with an 82, Greene's 2-over on Sunday was the second-lowest round of the tournament, topped only by medalist Holly Ho of California (Pa.) who shot 6-over for the tournament. Greene finished one shot behind second place and in a four-way tie third. It was her third top-six PSAC Championship finish in as many years.
As a team, Millersville shot a 319 in the second round, which was tied for the second-best round of the Championship. It was a vast improvement from the 334 posted in the first round. Four of the five golfers in the lineup shot lower scores in round two.
Freshman Hannah Yanoski shot a career-best round of 6-over par 77 jumping one spot to seventh place. She finished at 16-over for the championship. Fellow freshman Belle Keopraseut jumped eight spots up the leaderboard, following her first round 88 with an 82. Senior Alexa Strong tied for 22nd in the 42-player field, and Joelie Bennett tied for 30th, shooting an 87 in round two--a three-shot improvement from the first round.
Kutztown won the team championship at 70-over, two shots ahead of West Chester. Millersville's 654 was 15 shots off the lead and just one shy of third place Mercyhurst.
