
Sheehan grabs top position in the first round of the PSAC Championship

Hershey, Pa. – Senior Connor Sheehan finished top of the leaderboard in the first round of the 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Golf Championship. Millersville men's golf team earned third place in day one.
The Marauders scored a 306 in the opening round with defending champion Indiana University of Pennsylvania four shots above Millersville in second. California University of Pennsylvania is leading the championship with a score of 299, seven shots away from Millersville.
Sheehan shot a 1-over 72 to tie Indiana's Josh Bartley in first place overall. With sophomore Brady Erb close behind in fourth place, Erb recorded his lowest career score by shooting a 3-over 74.
A tie for 16th place, senior Mitchell Burns posted a 8-over 79 in the opening round of the PSAC Championship.
In his first PSAC championship performance, redshirt senior Sean Ebert shot a 10-over 81 to tie for 25th. Junior Matt Keim carded a 15-over 85 in the opening round to tie for 37th.
Millersville begins its final round at 11:03 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22 starting with the No. 5 finisher of the team (Keim).
