
Sheehan's 66 matches lowest round in program history

Cicero, N.Y. – Senior Connor Sheehan tied the lowest round in program history by shooting a 6-under 66 in the final round of the Le Moyne Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon. Sheehan tied for ninth while the Millersville men's golf team team secured an 11th place finish.
The last time a 66 was shot by a Marauder was when Corey Gast played in the Goldey-Beacom Invitational and won the event in the 2006-07 season.
Sheehan's score was the lowest round of the tournament. It was quite a turnaround for Sheehan after shooting a 6-over 78 in the first round. He finished at even par. Sheehan came back from a tie for 46th in the first round to a tie for ninth.
In red numbers, Sheehan totaled seven birdies throughout the tournament. He also posted a 3.94 stroke average on par 4 holes. The senior duo of Sheehan and Mitchell Burns had the same number of pars (23) in both rounds.
With a three shot improvement from day one, Burns recorded scores of 80-77 to tie for 68th. Junior Matt Keim shot a 7-over 79 in the first round and a stroke higher in the final round for a 159. Keim claimed a tie for 74th. Redshirt senior Sean Ebert and sophomore Brady Erb both tied for 78th. Ebert came out strong in the first round, tying for 19th off a 3-over 75. He finished with a 13-over 85.
Redshirt sophomore Matt Spak competed as an individual and shot 77-76 to tie for 43rd.
The medalist of the tournament was Southern New Hampshire University's Matt Paradis who went under par both days, posting a 5-under 67 in the first round and a 2-under second round. The team competition was won by Laval University with a 6-under 570 total. Three of Laval's golfers had their final rounds under 71 to place themselves inside the top 10.
The Marauders move on to the final tournament of the regular season at the Eastern Invitational on Monday, Oct. 16.
