Millersville, Pennsylvania - No. 22 Kutztown swept all 10 weight classes Tuesday evening and handed Millersville a 37-0 defeat in its home opener. The Marauders fall to 1-3 overall and 1-3 in the PSAC.

Kutztown (3-1, 2-1 PSAC) totaled two major decisions, a technical fall and a fall in the win. The Marauders had numerous close calls, starting at 133 pounds with freshman Aaron Wildonger. Wrestling up a weight class, Wildonger trailed Chris Craine 6-2 following a four-point nearfall in the second period. But with 14 seconds left in the match, Wildonger scored a takedown to cut the deficit to two. Crane, however, was able to ward off any additional Wildonger points for a 6-4 win.

David Charles, coming off a third-place finish at the David H. Lehman Open, nearly gave the Marauders points at 149 pounds. His match with Chad Haegele was tied at 1-1 in the third period, but with 37 seconds left, Haegele was able to get behind Charles for two points. Charles quickly escaped but could not score the necessary takedown and fell, 3-2.

Seth Decker, wrestling at 157 pounds against James Meyer trailed 7-5 late in the third, but Meyer secured his 9-5 decision with a takedown in the final 20 seconds.

In the final bout of the evening, David Wuestner squared off against nationally-ranked Ryan Appleby and took a 1-0 lead into the third period following an second period escape. Appleby started the third in the down position and worked free from Wuestner's grasp to even the score. Wth 1:08 remaining, Appleby scored a takedown for a 3-1 lead. Wuestner escaped as time ticked away, and Appleby turned Wuestner's final shot into another takedown and a 5-2 win.

Millersville hosts the "Shorty" Hitchcock Memorial Classic on Saturday. Action starts at 9 a.m. from the Student Memorial Center.
