GAME OVERVIEW
• Millersville and West Chester are accustomed to being in the national spotlight and partaking in thrilling games, and Tuesday will be no different. Once again, the two will play each other as nationally-ranked teams. Millersville sits at No. 6 and the Golden Rams are placed ninth. Last year, in the two matchups, Millersville and West Chester were ranked one and two in the first contest, and met in the NCAA quarterfinals in a second match-up between the two powerhouses. Millersville has taken on West Chester 15 times in the last five seasons, and West Chester has been ranked in every game. This match-up on Tuesday will be the lowest the Rams have been ranked in a game with Millersville in that time span.
• After starting the season 1-1 for the first time since 2011, Millersville has rebounded, recently coming off an epic 100-minute, 1-0 marathon win over No. 4 Kutztown. Olivia Hershey made her return in that game and went on to send in the game-winning goal with no time left on the clock. Millersville has points from eleven different players and has outscored teams 12-2 while posting four shutouts in five games.
• The Marauders have not only scored far more than their opponents but have also attempted 97 shots compared to the 22 total shots opponents have managed. Millersville has only allowed eight shots on goal. The Marauders have scored more goals than their opponents have put shots on goal.

ABOUT THE SERIES
• Although the West Chester-Millersville rivalry is one of the best in Division II field hockey now, it hasn't always been that way. West Chester competed in Division I for years, therefore the series record for the teams features only 18 games with West Chester leading it 10-8. Since 2013, the Marauders have enjoyed victories in seven of the 10 games against WCU.

THE LAST MEETINGS
• In the regular season contest between the two of the titans of the PSAC, Millersville won 1-0 in a thriller featured live on ESPN3 (the first field hockey game to be showcased on an ESPN network). The game was decided 5:14 into the overtime period, when Arianna Grays sent home the game-winner. However, in the NCAA quarterfinal, West Chester staved off the Marauders 2-1 in double overtime to end Millersville's season. Rachel Toppi was responsible for the game-ending goal.
