
Madison, Myers Hit NCAA Provisional Marks in 49er Invitational

Charlotte, N.C. - In the final day of the 49er Invitational in Charlotte, the Millersville women's track and field team had another impressive showing as two Marauders hit NCAA provisional marks and three qualified for PSAC Championships in their respective events. Amanda Myers started her 2016 campaign strong with a first-place finish in the javelin with an NCAA provisional toss of 143-5.
The other provisional mark belonged to Erin Madison as she clocked a 1:01.64 in the 400-meter hurdles and finished fourth overall. As a team, Courtney Ingold, Erin Madison, Clara Forney and Kiara Allen locked a 47.98 in the 4x100-meter relay.
In the shot put, Sunflower Greene and Deja Loose both tossed PSAC qualifying marks. Greene registered a distance of 40-4 and placed ninth overall while Loose hit 37-1. In the 800-meter run, Amanda Long ran a 2:20.44 which qualified her for the PSAC championships.
Millersville is back in action Wednesday when it competes in the York College Twilight Meet.
