Tropp represents Millersville at Lehigh Fast Times

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania - Millersville University junior Madie Tropp represented the Marauders' track and field team in the pentathlon at Friday's Lehigh Fast Times Invitational. Tropp placed seventh out of 12 competitors.
Tropp totaled a career-best 2,653 points, hitting indoor PR marks in the 800-meter run (2:47.24) and in the long jump (14-7 1/4). Tropp competed against a field that included six Division I athletes. Tropp was second among Division II athletes. East Stroudsburg's Aspen Gaita took first place with 3,534 points.
Tropp's top event finish came in the 60-meter hurdles where she placed fourth with a time of 9.53. The finish landed her 802 points. She took seventh in the high jump, but slipped in the standings after taking 13th out of 14 in the shot put with a 22-3 mark. Tropp made up ground by taking ninth in the long jump, and then climbed two more spots in the standings with a seventh-place finish in the 800, garnering 493 points with the finish.
The Marauders full team returns to the track on Jan. 20 at the NYC Gotham Cup.
