SEASON OUTLOOK
• The Millersville women's basketball team opens its season Friday when they travel to Lincoln for the annual CIAA/PSAC Challenge. The Marauders will face Lincoln University Friday and Virginia State University on Saturday in Lincoln, Pennsylvania.
• The Marauders, coming off a season in which they went 19-9 and lost in the conference quarterfinals, were slated to finish third in the PSAC this season.
• After starting the 2015-16 season 1-4, Mary Fleig's team rebounded, winning eight of nine games and ended up 14-8 in conference play. The 19 wins were the most since the 2012-13 squad went 21-8.
• Millersville returns eight players for the 2016-17 campaign, including All-PSAC East selection Celeste Robinson. Robinson averaged 13.9 points per game, 6.7 rebounds per game and 2.3 assists per game as a redshirt junior. Robinson scored 15 or more points 15 times last season and her 2.0 steals per game ranked her fifth in the conference.
• Aunjel Van Brakle led the Marauders with 32 blocks on the season and averaged 9.1 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game. Fellow senior Courtney Hinnant averaged 4.7 points per game while grabbing six or more rebounds three times.
• The Marauders look for increased roles from Kendra Bamberger, Alayah Hall, Jade Farquhar and welcome five freshman to the squad. As a freshman, Bamberger was named PSAC East Freshman of the week after posting 12 points against West Virginia Wesleyan.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
• Lincoln University had a solid 2015-16 season competing in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association and posting a record of 14-12. The Lions matched up with West Chester, Gannon, and Cheyney (All PSAC teams) last season, going 2-1 with victories over the Golden Rams and the Wolves.
• Lincoln made it to the CIAA tournament, winning their first game but falling to Livingstone College to end the season.
• The 2016-17 Lions have a different look, losing six of their seven top scorers including leading scorer Amani Clark as well as guard LeNee Kimbell. Teira Pendleton, who led the team in rebounding and was second in scoring and minutes played, will be a feature in the offense.

THE LAST MEETING (Millersville 72, Lincoln 66 2OT)
• When the two teams faced each other last season, the Lions outscored the Marauders in the second half to force overtime. After the first overtime, the game was still tied but Millersivlle pulled away in double overtime, earning a 72-66 victory.
•Celeste Robinson had nine points in the effort while Aunjel registered six.
