Volleyball falls to division-leading Mountain Cats

Johnstown, Pa. - The Pitt-Johnstown women's volleyball team showed just why it is in first place in the PSAC Central Division against Millersville Friday evening. The homestanding Mountain Cats rolled to a 3-0 win, 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.
Pitt-Johnstown (21-8, 14-3 PSAC) totaled 40 kills to Millersville's (9-19, 5-12 PSAC) 28, five aces to Millersville's one, and held a 6-1 edge in blocks. The Mountain Cats hit over .300 in all three sets, finishing with a .337 attack percentage while limiting Millersville to a .046 attack percentage, including a -.037 percentage in the first set. Millersville committed 23 errors. Millersville was playing short-handed without the services of Kelsi Ceriani, who suffered an injury in the previous match.
Erin Harman and Haley Butler shared team-high honors in kills with 10. Harman also added 10 digs for her 17th double-double of the season. Harman's 370 kills is the fifth-most in a single season in program history. She is one shy of Jody Lindstrom (1994) for fourth.
Millersville's final match of the season is Saturday at Lock Haven.
