
Cruz takes 10th at Gettysburg Invitational

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania - Millersville University senior Shannon Cruz placed 10th in a field of 260 runners Saturday at the Gettysburg Invitational. Cruz finished the 6K event in a time of 23:30.5--her fastest time of the season by more than a minute.
Cruz clocked in 59 seconds after winner Laura Moreno of Del Valley Elite. The two other Marauders to compete were Megan O'Neill and Brianna Landis. O'Neill turned in a season-best time of 25:45.4 and placed 78th. Landis landed in 117th place with a time of 26:52.2.
With three runners in the field, Millersville did not post a team score.
Millersville now turns its attention to the PSAC Championships, which are set for Oct. 22 in Kutztown.
