
Marauders' Performance at Covert Classic Highlighted by PSAC Qualifiers

Bethlehem, Pa. - The Millersville indoor track and field team produced PSAC Indoor Championship qualifying marks in six events Saturday at Lehigh. Leading the way was Erin Madison, who qualified in the 200- and 400-meter runs.
Madison placed first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.60 and ran a 26.85 in the 200, which was good for a third-place finish. Teammates Kiara Allen and Clara Forney placed sixth and seventh in Saturday's event.
Amanda Myers, Amanda Long, Erin Harman and Katy Alberici also recorded marks making them eligible for the PSAC Championships.
Myers qualified in the weight throw with a toss of 41-3. That toss was good for ninth. Teammate Vanessa Hower, a previous PSAC qualifier, finished sixth overall with a mark of 45-11 3/4.
Long finished fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:24.85, just over three seconds behind winner Kaylyn West. Harman placed fourth in the pole vault by clearing a height of 10-6. Katy Alberici posted a leap of 35-3 in the triple jump, placing third. Harman also took 10th in the triple jump.
After more than a month and a half layoff prior to Saturday's competition, Millersville next travels to Selingsgrove to compete in the Crusader Challenge.
