Complete Game Notes (.PDF)GAME OVERVIEW• Millersville travels to East Stroudsburg for a key PSAC East match-up against a streaking East Stroudsburg club that has won eight of its last night games. The Warriors have won five consecutive home games while the Marauders have lost two consecutive road games and are 3-5 on the road this season. Millersville currently sits one game behind ESU for the No. 4 seed in the PSAC Tournament. It is the first of two meetings. The teams close the regular season against each other on Feb. 24.
• Millersville owns a commanding 50-27 lead in the series, winning 30-of-34 from 1998- 2013. East Stroudsburg, however, has won three of the last four. Millersville won on the road by three point last season but last by 26 points at home later in the season. Expect a low-scoring game. In the last four meetings, Millersville has averaged just 47.3 points with a high of 54. East Stroudsburg is averaging just 54.0 points per game in that same stretch.
• Millersville was limited to 59 points against West Chester, marking the eighth time it has scored fewer than 60 points in a game. The Marauders are just 2-6 when failing to score more than 60 points but 8-1 when topping that mark. They are also 6-0 when scoring 70 or more. Millersville ranks 13th in the league in scoring offense but fourth in team field goal percentage.
• Millersville ranks third in the PSAC in steals per game at 9.35.
Tyisha WhiteWhite recorded three steals against West Chester, giving her 11 in her last two games and moving her into the league's top 10 in steals per game. Along with
Celeste Robinson's No. 8 ranking, the Marauders are one of only two teams in the league that have to players in the top 10. Robinson has at least two steals in 10 of 17 games. White has 18 steals and at least one in each of her last six games.
• White has also upped her scoring production lately. She played a career-high 39 minutes last Wednesday against West Chester and has averaged nearly 7.0 points per game over her last nine games after averaging 3.0 points per game over her first eight games. Her efficiency has also drastically improved. She has connected on 41.1 percent of her shots and knocked down 12-of-17 free throws (.706). Over the first eight games, White converted just 27.5 percent of her shots and attempted only one free throw.
• After a year away from the game dealing with an injury,
Celeste Robinson has returned to post career numbers numerous statistical categories. Robinson has upped her scoring average to 14.1 (13.3 in 2013-14), rebounding average to 6.2 (5.6 in 2013-14) and has improved her free throw shooting from 60.2 percent to 69.0 percent. She has scored in double figures in 13 games and the Marauders are just 2-2 when she scores fewer than 10 points.
• Robinson is by far the team's leader in plus/minus, boasting a plus-7.29 margin in over 528 minutes played.
Shelby Reimer ranks second at plus-6.00.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT• East Stroudsburg has won three in a row and eight of nine since starting the season 1-7. The recent surge has pushed the Warriors into fourth place in the PSAC East standings. ESU is especially adept at winning close games. Since Dec. 5 the Warriors are 5-0 in games decided by fewer than 10 points.
• East Stroudsburg ranks No. 2 in the league in field goal percentage defense, just a percentage point behind the No. 1 Marauders.
• The offense hits at only 37.7 percent shooting and 29.7 percent from three. The Warriors have also committed more turnovers than recorded assists. Only two players average more than 7.0 points per game. Allison Howard ranks 11th in the PSAC in points per game (16.6) and is also a strong rebounder, ranking 13th at 7.6 per game.
