
Student-Athlete Spotlight: Anthony Jadus

Anthony Jadus began his senior season on the Millersville men's tennis team this fall. Native of Archbald, Pa., and PSAC Scholar-Athlete appeared in eight singles matches last season. While Anthony is a philosophy major, he is active in the arts. He has held a role in several theatrical plays put on by Millersville University and is also a member of the University's improv team, performing shows throughout the semester.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
Dutcher Hall because I'm involved in Improv Molotov and University Theatre so I basically live in that delightful building.
Who is your favorite professor/class and why?
My favorite professor is Matt Johnson because he is the man and I have learned so much from him. My favorite class is Acting 1 because it allowed for me to get out of my shell and meet a ton of new people.
Why did you choose your major?
I enjoy Philosophy because I like thinking about things and because it's empowering to tackle big issues.
Why did you choose Millersville?
I loved coach Shari, and I met Kevin Tran, Kelsey Waite, and Preetham Moras who convinced me that this was the place for me.
What is a day in the life of a student-athlete?
Gym before classes hopefully, lots of food throughout the day, practice, theater, more food. Homework somewhere scattered in there...
How has playing sports at Millersville changed you as an individual?
It has given me a better perspective on things as well as boost my confidence as a person.
What has been the most rewarding community service project?
I did Polar Plunge and raised over $4,000 for charity.
What is your favorite sports team?
The Millersville Tennis Team
Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?
Jon Isner is my favorite professional athlete because he represents USA tennis and he reminds me of myself if I were a really good tennis player.
What is your favorite sports memory?
In U-12 soccer I believe, our team had only won about 2 games all season, but in the first round of playoffs, we had a shoot out, and we won!
Who do you most admire and why?
My parents because they always put me before themselves.
What is the greatest risk you've ever taken?
Pursuing acting
Where will you be in 10 years?
Broadway
What is the most significant challenge you've overcome?
Acting and Improv
Best piece of advice you've received?
Do what makes you happy and work really hard
What is favorite place you've visited/vacationed?
Ocean City, Md. is my home.
The one thing you cannot live without?
Water

I'm a Pokemon Master.
